A lively well trained person meets nearly always with a smile - I am helped to seeing and be made comfortable during my treatment. I am unable to comment on care given on a number of the other surgeries as there have been so many changes lately. There is one improvement that I would love to see - new seating in both the waiting area and someone on the rooms. Arms or ways to get up are needed, this would aid rising and sitting.

A very patient centered, caring practice. All staff I have come across have been courteous & helpful. There appears to be an excellent skill mix of nursing staff that I have not encountered before. The surgery is open into the evening and on a Saturday morning which is helpful for those of us who work. A variety of ways to book an appointment is available: phone on the day; pre book; online booking + a GP triage phone system is available & an excellent idea. I believe there is also an extension of the GP service at the local hospital allowing GP appointments to be available from 8am - 8pm 7 days a week which is an excellent & innovative idea given the bad press regarding the lack of availability of such appointments. The lack of a permanent female GP is disappointing but I am aware of a national shortage of GPs.

I have been a patient at Hawkinge Health Centre for the past six years and have always been really impressed by the care that both myself and my family have received. All of the staff from receptionists to Doctors and Nurses are approachable, friendly and provide a great level of care. The surgery has undergone a number of changes since we joined as patients but these have all been positive improvements and it is a smart, modern and accesable practice.
